Do you know Him? I mean really know Him? You call yourself a Christian, but you haven’t picked up the Bible and read it for yourself in years. Are you leading your heart to be closer to Christ?
God is not a passive God and his work is never done. You will never see him sit down and take a break. Even resting on the seventh day, was not passive for him. Resting for him was a model of how we are to live.
Jesus the Word of God is active also, and never resting. Although taken into heaven, his ministry has never stopped as his Spirit lives in the hearts and souls of His followers. Yet we do nothing to cultivate his love.
It is up to us to remain active in His word and learn more and more about him.
Philter48 has 2 bible studies you can get involved in.
The study of Mathew
You pick the time of day. It doesn’t matter when. Start with the Gospel of Mathew and read 1 Chapter a day for 30 days. Come back to here and offer a comment on what you learned about Christ for the day.

Blogged Bible Study
br>
The blogged bible study is set to start Aug 31st. The goal is to include as many bloggers as possible. We would all post on a particular topic on assigned days. Each blogger could add a page or link to a page here on Philter48 with links to the blogs on the assigned day. Diagrammed out a bit…
TOPIC FOR WEEK 1 IS “Who is God?”
Day 1: Blogger X , Blogger Y,
Day 2: Blogger B, Blogger D
And so on for the week for any given topic, or for how ever many bloggers get involved.
We will be studying and blogging through Galatians chapter by chapter, then move to Ephesians and Philippians.
Each blogger posts on their blog what they studied from the current chapter we are studying for the week.
We will let God take the study wherever he wants to take it.
If you are not a Blogger and would like to start this would be a great way to get started, or maybe even just to be a guest blogger on a given topic.
There are already a six bloggers committed to this study, is there anyone else interested in joining this study?
