This is the 3rd week of the Blogged Bible Study. We are going chapter by chapter through Paul’s letter to the Church of Galatia. To read the other posts on chapter 3 of Galatians check out the Blogged Bible Study page.
To think to be true(Christ),, to be persuaded of(The Word), to credit(Christ for your Salvation), place confidence in (The Father God our daily provider)
Galatians 3
22 But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
23Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed.
Stop did you catch that…. If you blinked or skipped to verse 24 you probably missed it. It is by far (well at least to me) the most captivating word in the whole bible. Our very life existence hinges on the word. Every time I see it in God’s I have to stop and ponder what this word really means…
I have done countless word studies on it, and come to the same thing every time.
So do you? This is a tough question to answer. There are so many things that have to be processed for this word to become real in a persons life. Honesty, Trust, Moving my Pride out of the way, Humbling the myself to … Sometimes I wonder if I can even do all that this word entails. Mainly just let everything go…And take the step…
As part of the Blogged Bible study on the Gospel of John I wrote about this word…
Not so much a verse or part of the story I want to dissect, but one particular word. This has to be the most powerful word in the bible. It means everything. By doing this we show that we know that Christ is True, because we are persuaded by the Word, give Christ the credit for our Salvation, and place full confidence in God with our daily life.
This word when used in conjunction with Jesus Christ being the receiver has the power to change your life forever. Don’t do this and your life will be in torment forever.
So do you?
