Philter48?: There comes a point in a persons life where you just have to stop sucking in the garbage this world throws at you. I have gotten to that point. Paul in Phil 4:8 gives us a filter to help us get the garbage out of our lives. God’s truth is the only way to live a life righteous enough to make it through Phil 4:8. One of my favorite things is to see others live their lives according to God’s truth and share their experiences so they can help others. That is what Philter48 is all about.
Faith Extended.
I have to be honest. When I quit personal blogging at Faith The Continuation, I didn’t realize how much I would miss it. Since then my writing has not been the same, and I have struggled for regular ideas.
A little over a month ago I started writing the devotionals for Philter48. Many of them are based off of posts from my old blog. As I would read through old posts I felt not just a tiny pull but a huge tug back to writing as an extension of my Faith.
The best way for me to explain it is to say. I was so intent on looking for stuff to post about, that I was not listening to the voice of the Spirit, and for a time the voice died out. Many personal faith posts ideas have come and gone without being written, and I kick myself for not even making a note. In many ways, I just felt I was not going to be true to the intent of Philter if I posted my personal faith here.
Writing the devotionals awakened the voice again, and for the past few weeks I have been praying. Then it hit me. Duh!!! That is what Philter48 is all about. Many times I have typed and talked about Philter48 being about real people living life through the filter of God’s truth. Last time I checked I was a real person. Maybe I should ask my wife?… Scratch that, I know the look I would get if I asked the question, I am sure she would think I am crazy. A real person, but crazy…But I digress….
So I am getting back to my roots so to speak. Faith Extended will be a new category here at Philter48. This is the category I will use when I am prompted to share from my personal faith experiences.
My hope is that you will continue on this journey of Faith and ministry with me.
Philter48 will continue to be at its core a place for real people to learn about Christ and filtering life through His truth.
