Paul wants us to know that if we are called to preach to 1 or 1000, we must do so out of love. We must also know that there is a risk, as his chains show. Paul also is painting a picture of fellowship within the body of believers. We are called to recognize the commitment of other believers to Christ, and to be unified in preaching the gospel of Christ because of that commitment.
